Full Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Brooklyn Sound Lab LLC (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, stores and shares information through MixLuv. It applies to mixluv.com, every MixLuv venue portal, and all MixLuv products and services.
Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo from Google. If you sign in with an email address and password, we store your password only in protected (hashed) form.
Artist profile information. Details you add about yourself or your act: artist or band name, bio, photos, home city, genres, links to your music and press kit, and management or booking-agent contacts.
Connected accounts (optional). If you choose to connect them:
- YouTube: we read your channel’s basic information and its viewing statistics (read-only), to show venues your audience reach.
- Instagram: we read your account’s basic profile information.
We never post, upload, delete or change anything on these accounts.
Booking information. Your performance requests and submissions to venues, their status, and the history of shows you’ve played that you or a venue add to MixLuv.
Public music information. To help venues book the right acts, MixLuv gathers publicly available information about artists from music services, such as listener and follower counts, past and upcoming shows, and genre data (for example from Spotify, YouTube, MusicBrainz, Bandsintown, Ticketmaster, Last.fm and setlist.fm). This information is already public; we use it only within MixLuv.
Venue staff information. For people who use MixLuv on behalf of a venue: name, email address and role.
Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to keep the Service running and secure.
Cookies
MixLuv uses one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use third-party analytics or tracking cookies. If you block cookies, you won’t be able to sign in.
How we use your information
- To create and run your account and sign you in.
- To show your artist profile to the venues you choose to submit to, and to the venues that invite you.
- To help venues decide which shows to book, using your profile, connected-account statistics and public music information.
- To manage bookings: submissions, offers, confirmations and show records.
- To contact you about your account, submissions and bookings. If you agree to receive other updates from us, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email.
- To keep MixLuv secure, fix problems and improve the Service.
Information from Google
If you sign in with Google or connect YouTube, we receive information from Google’s APIs:
- Google sign-in gives us your name, email address and profile photo. We use them only to create your account and sign you in.
- YouTube (optional) gives us read-only access to your channel information and viewing statistics. We use them only to display your audience reach to the venues you work with on MixLuv.
We do not sell this information. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to develop or train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models. People do not read it except with your permission, for security, or as required by law. We store the access token that lets MixLuv read your YouTube statistics, and we delete it when you disconnect YouTube or close your account.
MixLuv’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can remove MixLuv’s access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or by disconnecting YouTube in your MixLuv account.
How we share your information
We do not sell, trade or rent Personal Data. We share it only:
- With venues, at your direction: when you submit to a venue or accept a venue’s invitation, that venue’s booking staff can see your artist profile, connected-account statistics and submission.
- With service providers that run MixLuv for us, only as needed to provide the Service: Vercel (website hosting), Neon (database hosting), and Google and Meta (sign-in and the account connections you choose).
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our Users, our venues or the Service.
How we protect your information
We use appropriate collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, account details and data stored in MixLuv. Passwords are stored only in hashed form, and access to our systems is limited to the people who need it to run the Service. If a data breach may have affected your Personal Data, we will notify you.
Where and how long we keep your information
MixLuv’s data is stored in the United States with our hosting providers. We keep your Personal Data while your account is open and as needed to provide the Service. When you close your account or ask us to delete your data, we delete it, except where we must keep certain records to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes (such as records of completed bookings).
Your rights
You may at any time ask to know what data we hold about you and where it came from, to receive a copy, to have it corrected, updated or deleted, or to stop a particular use of it. California residents have these rights under California privacy law. Users in other regions may have similar rights under their local laws. We honor these requests for every User. Send requests to privacy@mixluv.com. We will respond within 30 days and won’t treat you differently for making a request.
Children
MixLuv is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Third-party websites
MixLuv links to other sites and services, such as artists’ music pages, venues’ websites and ticketing sites. Their own privacy policies govern how they handle your information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date above. If a change is significant, we will also notify signed-in Users by email or in MixLuv.
